A former housekeeper who scraped up enough money to buy a house in Indio, CA is being scammed by the local government, forced to pay nearly $6,000 in attorneys fees to a private law firm just to resolve a $225 ticket. The Institute for Justice is fighting back, and has just launched a lawsuit to challenge California cities’ unconstitutional for-profit prosecution scheme.
This site is a collection of films and documentaries of particular interest to libertarians (and those interested in libertarianism). It began as a book, Miss Liberty’s Guide to Film: Movies for the Libertarian Millennium, where many of the recommended films were first reviewed. The current collection has grown to now more than double the number in that original list, and it’s growing still.
