Some might see the 1991 Australian film Flirting as just a coming-of-age movie, but I would call it cultural libertarianism–it’s about the necessity of taking risks in life and having the strength of character to do so. It’s also a pleasure to watch, with an incredible 96% critics approval rating. A young Nicole Kidman appears in a small role.
This site is a collection of films and documentaries of particular interest to libertarians (and those interested in libertarianism). It began as a book, Miss Liberty’s Guide to Film: Movies for the Libertarian Millennium, where many of the recommended films were first reviewed. The current collection has grown to now more than double the number in that original list, and it’s growing still.
