In 1957, Charlie Chaplin made King of New York, his last leading role in film. In this short clip, he exchanges barbs with an anarchist kid (played by his son Michael). Chaplin must have had a bit of a libertarian streak in some ways, as he also made The Great Dictator, a film that mocked Nazis and Mussolini, in 1940 — a time when the US was still neutral and Hollywood was quietly cooperating with the Nazis.
